They need to stop trying to force young adults into the show, because those episodes are almost always terrible. It wasn't great, but it wasn't bad either. Supernatural overall is 10/10 for sure, but this episode doesn't deserve anything more than a pass, and this comes from someone who's been with the show from the beginning. The brothers talk about their issues and Dean explains that it doesn't matter to him whether he is ready to hunt; he wants to do something good to make up for the bad things he has done. PaperMoon was horrible, boring, poorly cast, predictable, contrived, and just plain irritating.

My mom and I watch the show together every week and it has been such a treat to share with her. A subtext of 'paper moon' is that it might become true with enough faith.
I'm sure many people will tell me to stop watching instead of being so critical but I am so critical because I love the show so much.

Sitting down Kate reveals she carries a silver blade around with the choice of killing herself should she lose control, but Dean remains skeptical she would actually go through with it.

She wants Kate to kill Sam and eat his heart as a sign she is with the pack, but Kate refuses. I wish they would have outright killed her or something so there was no shot she would return, because that could be disastrous. Jeremy Carver breathed new life into SPN when he took over Season 8 but he is now sucking the life out of the show with Season 10. She is unafraid that he will shoot... because she has two allies with her. She and Kate were close.

Good idea Dean. While the pacing and monster story could have been tighter, "Paper Moon" was a solid episode. However, they discover that it's Kate, the werewolf that they let go a year earlier. Supernatural grew it's viewer ship over the past 2 seasons and was one of the few shows that increased the amount it charged for advertising but if they keep giving us the low quality Season 10 has produced so far that won't last. There are just too many used to tie up to the main plot of tge brothers. I like the idea of two sisters at odds with each other, as it mirrors Sam and Dean. Was this review helpful?

When he brings up Dean's demonic activities, Dean matter-of-factly retorts by reminding Sam of his own actions in his attempts to find Dean (such as his tricking Lester into selling his soul), suggesting Sam is not to judge. While briefly confused by their comments, Kate willingly confesses she was the one who committed the actions, saying she ultimately did not have the will to carry out a normal life. I own every episode of SPN on my ATV and have watched them all many, many times.
