This is supposed to be the light fighter of the primary antagonist and it's a weak mess with one of the worst cockpit visibility-situations in the game.Do any one thing to it: make it faster, make it hardier, make it more powerful, just do something.I think the easiest and most inline way of fixing it would be to replace the s3's with s4's so it becomes an aggressive alphastriker in lieu of the Scythe and Glaive.
It can really change the effectiveness of some ships depending on the skill of the pilot. Highly agile, a lot of tachyon guns, but not very sturdy.
The Constellation, a multi-person freighter, is the most popular ship in RSI’s current production array. Making this to help myself decide on a Light Fighter to acquire, and thought it might be helpful to others.I originally had Mustang Delta, 125A, Aurora MR and LN in there, but they are such dogshit I said forget it and deleted them to save space. For sake of comparison to a Medium Fighter, I included the Sabre to understand the difference between Light & Medium capability. Some argue that the MIS is one of the most effective dog fighters currently with gimbal assist as it is now.Essentially, skilled pilots may do better in more maneuverable ships with fixed guns while less skilled pilots will do better with gimbaled guns in any ship.Lastly, I believe CIG stated that the Banu Defender will be very maneuverable.
Glass-cannons and ambushes seems to be the Vanduul-way.Reliant Tana has TWO missile bays with 6x S2 missiles each (12x S2 total). that said you should think about doing a medium. No, you're right, the Sabre is a medium... like I said, I included it just to kind of show the "cap" of light fighters in comparison to a medium.I want a light fighter mainly for the fun of flying it, not only for the damage output. So, you have a medium fighter (Sabre) in a group of light fighters? Compare two MMOs player numbers and popularity against each other to decide which one to play! A Hawk with mass drivers can do some good damage if you are good a lining up your shots. The Saber with fixed s3's deals less 'dps' for me then a Tana with Kore turrets and gatlings. There feels like a big difference between fixed vs gimbal and cannon vs gatling/repeater. Once per quarter update seems reasonable.im guessing that sabre is really the raven? Gimbal assisted weapons feel fun and are quite effective. I also expect gimbal assist is a bit too strong right now and will be nerfed (or fixed guns will be buffed, same effect). Are you actually a combat pilot? I'm guessing it maneuvers like dogshit due to it's heavier nature. Compare two MMOs player numbers and popularity against each other to decide which one to play! I’d recommend heading to the Starcitizen.tools (the period is intentional) Wiki to find the ships you wish to compare, and also take a look at Oh my god, thank you so much. The Gladius, and the Arrow. He really emphasized that it's going to be incredibly agile. You probably should account for gimbal assist from 3.5. You also have the Defender which is also a medium fighter.I wish they'd fix the Blade, and I don't even own one. Ships with less agility want to use gatlings on gimbals as it is much easier to lock onto your target and go to town in the new FM.As I said, I am not an Ace pilot but I would consider myself competent. When you think handsome bounty hunter making his own way in a galaxy of enemies, you think the Constellation. Constellations are beloved by smugglers and merchants alike because they are modular, high powered… and just downright iconic-looking. The Sabre is definitely a medium with it's 'no compromise' dogfighting design. I'm guessing it maneuvers like dogshit due to it's heavy nature.Actually, the Banu Defender is being described by Josh Coons (dev working on it) as a glass cannon. The Constellation includes a manned turret, a large cargo area and a small fligh…
