We were with a great group of friends and family, so did have a festive time.
I will be back next time in Red Bluff! We had the carne asada tostada supreme and it was delicious. Definitely will go back and try other items. We ordered the veggie burrito and the chicken with poblano pepper and cream.
!Enjoyed the fajitas fresh and hot, the service was prompt, restaurant was clean, I will return. Most nastiest Mexican Restaurant I've been to, and the Place is not even descent (you're in the Vintage park) upscale your place and food. If you don't know about this place it's simply because your friends are too busy eating here and not telling you about it just to limit the wait time haha.
The best was the tres leche, they get it from a local bakery, so cute in a cup a must try.
We told them we were going to take our time as we were waiting to go to a show and they were very nice about it.
Only one in Houston. The owner came out and was extremely accommodating. It is located along the beautiful Lima River that winds through Bagni di Lucca and is close to numerous local terme spas. The fish batter burrito is the best .All the other reviews are right - this place is worth the stop. It didn't even dawn on me that we chose a restaurant by the name of La Corona during the Corona pandemic but I'm so glad we did. After trying this place I was back within the next 2 days , Can't even begin to break down the authenticity in this beautiful food! Would definitely return!Wow! So excited that we found this place!! Lots of locals in here for lunch. When I called to place my to go order they were so happy to hear from me. A very good sign. I had a Modelo and it also came with a chilled mug with lime. Great recommendation. $14 . Sopa de Albóndigas I highly recommend this establishment! The Grande Meltdown topped with grenadine will definitely be my choice of drink the next time I'm in Houston. $6.45. We stayed the night in Red Bluff on our way to Oregon. The margaritas were perfect! Thank you La Corona, we can't wait until you re-open so we can come enjoy your fantastic micheladas!
The food, however, is horrible.
Mexican dishes are on the menu at this restaurant. Beans, chip, rice, etc., are made in-house. Cold Beer. "Always a pleasure to taste the barbacoa de borrego from this place. The rest of the food is not as good as the price would dictate. We got takeout on a busy day and it was a long wait but we'll worth it.Excellent authentic tasting restaurant. As a general rule, only restaurants that…""My husband and I stopped in for a late lunch, not expecting near the experience we…"
Prices reasonable. Back at it again with my usual, consistency is key! The food was fresh and wonderful!
The flour tortillas were too thin and fell apart when eaten.Everything was great !
I had a taco plate. The nachos were good and a half order was plenty for an entree. Food does not even vaguely resemble mexican flavors. But this place is not highly appreciated by Google users who provided it a below average rating. The tamales weren't greatnor the rice. Coming from a family where we cooked authentic cuisines, La Corona hit the nail on the head. I noticed La Corona was rated 4 1/2 stars , so I placed a To-Go order for the Papas Nachos.
They made sure our drinks stayed filled, they were very friendly and even brought us some free small plates of bean & cheese nachos to try before our food arrived. Not that great.rice was a bit stale. La Corona has been family owned and operated in this same location for around 30 years.
