Could I salvage this controller?Im tryin over here. Rest mode is a low-power state when the PS4™ can charge controllers, download and install content. Firstly, you need to order the conductive film for your buttons from amazon or eBay. Then select [Power] from the function screen, and choose [Turn Off PS4]. A yellow, solid light when the system is in rest mode or turned off means that the controller is currently charging. I took the controller apart to see if anything was broken and nothing that I could see is wrong. Wondering if when connected to USB there is not enough power supplied by the USB connection to run everything and trying to charge the battery as well.tried the battery with and without, without battery when usb is plugged in the lightbar will flash orange real fast. If you're controller dies as soon as you turn it on after it's done charging, you're battery is about fried, there is no saving it you'll need to buy a replacement battery and take your controller apart, disconnect the old bad battery and put the new one in.
