There is probably nothing I can write that hasn't been written before about this work from one of our great English authors. This is known as a classic for a reason. A bit of an unpolished diamond, I might add, like some other classics I remember fondly despite their minor flaws. Forster wrote the novel at a time when homosexuality was not only illegal, but considered a form of insanity. And of course it's a sweet story that makes your heart glow at the end, because Forster wanted to write a happy ending for his queer men, and honestly, finding a happy queer novel from the late 19th/early 20th century is no mean feat. I did enjoy this novel by E.M.Forster, but as the author himself admits there are some dated references within the book.This book must have been controversial certainly if it had been published when Forster wrote it,1913.However in todays age it does not see strange to read ad understand a novel like this.
