My name is Moritz Eggert (no need for a pseudonym here), and I live in Munich, Germany, home of the original Fantasy Film Fest. Suppose you haven't seen that movie yet and consider watching this more recent version, which would probably be cooler because it has a larger budget and CGI... don't! Once integrated to the current trilogy, Cube 2 manage to find its purpose. Cube 2 is in many respects just a clone of the original Cube movie. I was right. Questions that remain about who they are, what they're doing and the rest of the 5 W's. By itself, Cube 2 is at most wonderfully weird.
Cube 2: Sauerbraten is a free multiplayer & singleplayer first person shooter, the successor of the Cube FPS. One only food platform and two minutes per day to feed from up to down. Plus, why are the characters so unafraid? Was this review helpful? Like "Blair Witch", the original "Cube" is in itself a pretty perfect film which doesn't really scream for a sequel. An endless nightmare trapped in The Hole. The cube is a death trap but we don't care if the characters die off because we never really get to know these people. Sure that movie was horrid too, but it made money.

Cube 2 is one thing, Frustrating. the budget of the original, but the single set design is still here, no major actors cast, no cool practical fx, and the story and characters are just a rehash off the original. With Nicole de Boer, Maurice Dean Wint, David Hewlett, Andrew Miller. Soon discovering that they're in a strange fourth dimension where our laws of physics don't apply, they have to unravel the secrets of the "hypercube" in order to survive...Rated R for language, some violence and brief nudityMaguire opens the portal to a new room, but ignores the room to look at the sides of the portalHe opens the briefcase, but it does not hold whatever he was looking for Held captive and faced with their imminent executions, fifty strangers are forced to choose the one person among them who deserves to live. The dialogue is annoying, the (over)acting horrific, the F/X are not nearly as charming as in the original, the characters are undeveloped, and the ending is a complete cop out. 21 out of 32 found this helpful. If you like it, watch Cube Zero afterwards. Yes, I'm writing this in a joking tone, but I'm not that far off from the truth.
